The Elves in the Age of Dinosaurs— Fossils of Insects

The Mesozoic era is called the age of dinosaurs. Besides the prosperity of dinosaurs at that age, a tenacious biological group- insects coexisted. They have witnessed not only the rise and fall of dinosaurs, but also the existence of human. Obviously, humans cannot see through the 400-million-year history, but the insect fossils are the most powerful evidence recording the evolution on Earth.

 

With nearly 400 precious fossils of insects and the relevant detailed information, the exhibition, The Elves in the Age of Dinosaurs— Fossils of Insects, comprehensively introduces the development and evolution of the insects, the characteristics of all 17 orders, and the functions of insect pollination. Thanks to the eternal and vivid images in fossils showing ancient creatures in the Mesozoic, we are able to travel across time and space and have close contact with the once-lived creatures.
